The view into Glacier National Park
Another glimpse into Glacier…
The view of one of our pastures from the top of the sledding hill…
I feel so blessed to live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.  I never grow tired of viewing these Rocky Mountains, especially early in the morning or like when these pictures were taken, at sunset.  It has been a very pleasant couple of past days, blue sky and sunshine, we don’t get many of these this time of year.  The mountains here are reflecting the brilliant sunset from the west.
Sunset to the west…

What could be more fun? Â Especially for a rambunctious, little 4-year old boy…
All grins, the whole way!
Whew!  That was too much fun.  🙂
I love mornings like this, when it is pea-soupish outside, Â then the fog lifts and everything is covered in ice…

Foggy trees
Lilac buds
Frosty branches

Mugo pine
Frosty brace posts…
It’s even better when the frosty conditions last all day and the sun comes out…
The moon peaking down on the frosty trees…
Every once in a while the sun will show it’s face here in Flathead.  It seems during the winter months it is a real rarity but when it finally  peaks out,  it’s fabulous!
It makes going out into the snow and cold so much more bearable!
Looks like today is another such day, hope you’re able to enjoy it!
We spotted this guy while trying to put a halter on Sawyer’s fair calf, he sat and shifted on the tree top for several minutes…
If anyone has any idea what he is chime in. Â Our bird book is in Mark’s pick-up and when he is home I always forget to look at it.
We spent a beautiful yet cold day up in Fortine securing more wood for this winter’s use and doing a bit of hunting on the side.
We did see lots of deer too, just nothing with antlers. Â We finished up the day with a gourmet meal fixed by my most favorite father-in-law and warming up next to a cozy fire. :0)
