I’m not sure why these 4 decide to roost outside?

There are signs of spring everywhere…

I was able to escape the farm and all my responsibilities for a couple of hours and took a little drive to Glacier Park, more blue skies!

Even more exciting this morning,  bright and early,  Hayden ran up to the barn to check the ewes before we left for church and found a ewe missing…

He found her in the barn with an extra!

The wonderful madness has begun!!!  Maddie’s Suffolk ewe, Elizabeth lambed without assistance in the wee hours of the morning to an adorable little ewe lamb!   Our Icelandics are not due for another 3 weeks though.

Spring has sprung and it the worst of it is here!  The muddy, icky mess.  It wouldn’t be as bad if it weren’t for the 4 dogs that come and go as they please or the 8 kids that love to play in the soupy madness!!  😉  Ah-well, this too shall pass.  At least the ducks don’t seem to mind… P3028913

Bull Moose Fighting...

[Pro 1:2 ESV] – To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight,

[Pro 1:3 ESV] – to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity;

[Pro 1:4 ESV] – to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth–

[Pro 1:5 ESV] – Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,

[Pro 1:6 ESV] – to understand a proverb and a saying, the words of the wise and their riddles.

[Pro 1:7 ESV] – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The Housewife

The Verse-Book Of A Homely Woman, by Fay Inchfawn

The Housewife

See, I am cumbered, Lord,
With serving, and with small vexa-
     tious things.
Upstairs, and down, my feet
Must hasten, sure and fleet.
So weary that I cannot heed Thy word;
So tired, I cannot now mount up with
     wings.
I wrestle — how I wrestle! — through the
     hours.
Nay, not with principalities, nor powers —
Dark spiritual foes of God’s and man’s —
But with antagonistic pots and pans:
With footmarks in the hall,
With smears upon the wall,
With doubtful ears, and small unwashen
     hands,
And with a babe’s innumerable demands.

I toil with feverish haste, while tear-drops
     glisten,

(O, child of mine, be still. And listen —
     listen!)

At last, I laid aside
Important work, no other hands could do
So well (I thought), no skill contrive so
     true.
And with my heart’s door open — open
     wide —
With leisured feet, and idle hands, I sat.
I, foolish, fussy, blind as any bat,
Sat down to listen, and to learn. And lo,
My thousand tasks were done the better so.
