Spring Arrival of Mountain Bluebirds…

The Mountain Bluebirds have arrived and with it so has spring!  On Sunday after church the kids along with their father built some bluebird boxes to put up around the farm.  Hopefully they will help entice more bluebirds to nest and hang around for the summer…

Last spring Mark and the kids built several bluebird boxes…

Building Bluebird houses...

 Last year all we attracted were sparrows, which was ok because we have a lot of mosquitos. 

But this year…

Mamma bluebird hanging out by her house...

A robin landed seconds later...

 I noticed at least 3 of the 6 houses had different bluebirds frequenting them and another had some other type of bird hanging out.  We’re so glad these beautiful little creatures are hanging out and serenading us with their beautiful songs!
