This Western Bluebird literally flew down in front of me and was joined by a finch of some sort, which didn’t stay around very long. Despite the cold, cloudy days, spring is coming!

We sure do enjoy watching these little Downy Woodpeckers.
This guy was busy checking over the tree for bits to eat and didn’t seem too bothered by me taking his picture.
On another bird note, the last couple mornings I have been hearing Killdeer singing their song. One of the earliest signs that spring is on it’s way!
We spotted these guys while on vacation, at a stop in Oregon. They were pretty amusing to watch while the scritched and scratched through the leaves looking for little seeds. I believe they are Spotted Towhee Pipilo maculatus (please correct me if I am wrong 🙂 ). Thanks for the help on ID’ing the little hummingbird last week!
