Seems like forever since I have been on here! Life is just crazy busy but going well here. It seems like winter has been oh, so very long this year. Perhaps it because it’s because we haven’t seen the sun in what seems like forever. No big dips in temperature, which has been great for the seep and other outside animals.
Last weekend the sun finally came out, so we took the boys and Emma up to the Park to do some snowshoeing…
Reflection on Lake McDonald…
As you can see, part of Lake McDonald was glass smooth and the mountains reflected beautifully…

Since we missed Halloween, here’s a scary flower we seen while in California. Not sure what it is or what type of spider made the web but it was pretty neat!

We are back after a 15 day vacation. My husband had a business meeting in Seattle so we (the whole family plus Grammy ~ 10 people in all) spent a couple of days hanging around there and then we crossed on the ferry and started our Highway 101 adventure! We toured through parts of Olympic National Park and then followed the coast down to San Francisco and then cut across California, Nevada and Idaho to make it back to Bozeman, MT just in time for my husband to have another business meeting then headed home. This is one of the thousands of pictures I took on our little trip and was taken in Olympic National Park….
A couple weeks ago we were able to go with my husband on one of his trips and spent a couple days in Bozeman, MT. Our last day there we decided to spend an extra night and do a quick tour through Yellowstone the next day…

Flehming response: Definition: is a behaviour whereby an animal curls back its upper lips exposing its front teeth, inhales with the nostrils usually closed and then often holds this position for several seconds. It may be performed over a site or substance of particular interest to the animal (e.g. urine or faeces) or may be performed with the neck stretched and the head held high in the air. Flehmen is performed by a wide range of mammals including ungulates and felids. The behaviour facilitates the transfer of pheromones and other scents into the vomeronasal organ located above the roof of the mouth via a duct which exits just behind the front teeth of the animal.

Not sure what type of berry bushes these are but they were definitely beautiful while I was exploring in Red Deer, Alberta at the Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary…
