Actually, four bears in one area! This single black bear grazing above and looking back down…
These black bear cubs…
Here’s a closer look at the all black bear cub…
Pretty awesome to see these guys all together in one area!

Wow, great pics! These are right on your property? Near your property? I like to see bears in the zoo, but don’t think I’d want to see on on my street! YIKES!
That’s impressive although I think I’d be a little scared to be that close to a wild bear!
Hi Erin,
I came here through Jenny’s Alphabe-Thursday. It’s my first visit to your blog, but will surely not be the last one. I love, love, love your photography — those bear pictures are awesome. However, it’s your introduction the right sidebar which convinced me to come back — especially the part about reading each comment even if you don’t always find the time to reply. 😉
See you again soon!
Lots of greetings from Munich,
Birgit
hope you were using a tele lens
Thanks! These were taken in Glacier National Park in Many Glacier.
Thanks, they definitely deserve their respect. 🙂
Thanks for visiting Birgit!
Most definitely! 🙂
Are they aggressive?
They look so lustrous and lovely.
I suspect that the cuddly aspect might be a little misconstrued, though!
Thanks for a beautiful and fascinating link to the letter B.
A+
What a wonderful sight!
It was!
Thanks Jenny!
Great photos! I hope you had a nice long lens and didn’t get too close!
We had a big bear residing at the camp where I worked as a counselor a couple of years ago. Can you imagine keeping tweens-teens in that kind of environment? But it was all good, and we all came home safely. Last year they put these latch thingies on the trash cans outside. The bear took off and now probably has a new home somewhere.
wow! Amazing shots.
Thanks!
