Spooktakular….

Icky and his friend Yucky.

It’s that time of year again where the kids get all excited about all things spooky and can’t wait to start gutting pumpkins and putting scary, silly faces on them.  🙂

Zayne busily working, he kept saying he was from “Dirty Jobs”! lol

He also kept asking if anyone wanted to shake his hand!

Teigen working hard.

Slimy hands…

Garrett’s not looking real sure about the whole process.

Hayden being silly and pretending to eat the slimy guts.

The finished pumpkins.

Chipmunks on the loose…

On our trip to South Dakota we stopped to stretch our legs and were greeted by this…

A fuzzy, little chipmunk!

And then…

Lots of little chipmunks decided to come out and visit!

So Tori decided to stick her hand out and see what they would do…

Hey, little chipmunk!

It was pretty apparent that these little guys had some human interaction before…

Garrett trying to coax a little fuzz ball.

There were sunflower seeds and nuts galore on the ground, so the kids picked a few up to see what the chipmunks would do.

Hayden, not too sure.

Wow, they’re fast.

They sure seemed to like Maddie.

They kinda tickle!

Garrett had a blast.

Crawling up his arm…

Teigen even tried…

This was such a fun stop.  The kids will probably always remember trying to feed the chipmunks, I know I will.

Buffaloed…

Big bully…

Our family had the privilege of taking a family vacation through South Dakota.  We had such an amazing time and it was loooong over-due.  I think the last vacation we took was over 6 years ago.  We’d mention to people where we were going and we would get funny looks, like what’s in South Dakota?  We were there for about 7 days and  could easily go back and explore more and different places.    The bison were photographed in The Badlands National Park and in Custer State Park.  We could easily watch these majestic and almost comical looking animals for several hours.

We awoke to more snow this morning.  Definitely feeling more and more like winter.  Brrrr!!

A Gunnar dog…

Icies with llamas.

This hen has the right idea to stay toasty during cold winter mornings.

Going for a little ride.

Thor, keeping all the little sheepies and chickens safe.
