Back and forth...
We had a most enjoyable, restful Sunday. Papa Ed had spent the night after the late night of lighting off fireworks and since he had to be back into town first thing in the morning so we enjoyed having breakfast with him. Then we headed off to church where we sang and listened to some patriotic music that made me tear up at the realization of the freedoms we really do get to enjoy each and everyday. The freedom to go to church and have fellowship openly, with out fear of punishment or harm and for the sacrifices of those before us to allow us this wonderful freedom. We then listened to a wonderful sermon that hit on these notes and went on to tell us the need for “real” men, it can be listened to here (click on the 7/5 sermon)… We then had a nice little potluck and enjoyed some wonderful fellowship. Afterwards we returned home and thought about a nap when Jason showed up and instead had a nice afternoon with him talking about our morning and had another wonderful time of fellowship. Then we decided to head to Whitefish Lake and went swimming for a just a little while and cooled off and returned home and had a nice little bbq. Afterwards we went on a little walk to the mailbox and back again and then enjoyed some home made ice-cream. It really was a restful day!
